I’ve been using Sebastian Cellophane color because I’m told it is not harsh to hair since it coats it. If that’s on my hair, can I safely use earth dye or will it interfere? And if so, how do you get the coating off?
Welcome to EarthDye's new natural hair dye community.
Hi Gendeja,
With so many products on the market it is hard to say. Seeing this does coat the hair, I would just make sure you shampoo it extremely well before applying the dye. Once it is on, then you can try the Cellophanes over it. I would be very curious how well it works and if it would lock in the color longer.
But you need be careful, some products like "It's a 10 hair" straightener will for sure turn browns green. Very green. We would love to hear your feed back using it. Try a small area first! Very important.
Hello. I'm not sure what you mean by It's A 10 STRAIGHTENER. Do you mean the leave-in spray conditioner or the pump smoothing balm? I have used both in the past, have both on hand, and I'm wanting to try your hair dye, so I need to be sure which product not to use with it. And what about their shampoos and conditioners?I really love the leave-in conditioner, it helps my hair stay smooth and shiny, so I'll be bummed if I can't use it with your product.
Any leave in conditioners, hair straighteners, perms and what not can cause an issue. Perms usually not, but you want to give it a few weeks before using it if that is the case. Always do a strand test!
I would love to see the ingredient lists of this Hair Dye. And I want to know if I can put coconut oil in my hair after using this dye? I put coconut oil in my hair to keep it soft, untangled, and healthy. Thanks.
